Experience and Specialized Training:

  • Over the past year I have been specifically working with at-risk youth and their families.  I have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which is derived from cognitive behavioral therapy and also in play therapy.

My Treatment Approach:

I view each client as an individual that requires a unique set of skills specifically altered to them.  I predominantly use a cognitive behavioral therapy model with some aspects of psychodynamic therapy.  Based on the individual, I also like to pull from client-centered therapy and use mindfulness techniques.

I believe every individual has the power within themselves to tackle any challenges that life may bring.  It is my job to help each person find and strengthen those skills so that they may be empowered to live a life that is meaningful to them.

Areas of Focus:

Depression, Anxiety, Family Issues, Grief/loss, Communication Issues, Life Changes, Lack of self-esteem

Who I Work With:

Children, teens, families, couples, and individual adults
